Yesterday, Day 55 season 46 (16OCT2018 race season 31)
Josue Contreras won the first Trophy for team SsebasS.
It was a cold day at Uttendorf+-+Matrei+in+Osttirol, and our team was ready to win our first Classic and establish the team as a 6 Division one.
The entire team had been training the whole season and had been planning in order to arrive in the best shape to the classic race.
Josue had trouble sleeping the night before and mention to his colleges and especially to his best friend Patrice Bauer that he had the feeling that something big was going to happen tomorrow. He looked so confident and excited that the rest of the team got the energy bust that they needed to help him during the race.
The entire team was ready to leave the hotel early in the morning and got well situated for the departure from Uttendorf. By the time the peloton arrived at the Felbertauern tunnel they were all well located in the lead.
Unfortunately Elija De Saldanha suffered from a mechanical issue and was not to further help, we believe he would have followed Josue in his final climb to Matrei in Osttirol.
Josue after the race was pleased with the result and dedicated the win of such an important trophy to his family, to the team and made a special mention to his friend Gary Luke that was riding his last race for the team SsebasS85
Let's hope this is the first of a long list of trophies for team SsebasS85.
The manager promised to his team that dinner is on him when the team arrives back home to Mallorca and when they recover they will plan the schedule ahead of the season in 6 division - F
